Print Sizes for use with QImage

The listed print size dimensions are used when making enlargements using the QImage application. When you create a 20” wide print you will notice the size in QImage is actually 20.233 inches. So to keep the print proportional I created an image in photo shop 20 inches x 30 inches. Then I resized the width of the image to 20.233 inches. When you select the “constrain proportions” check box it will automatically resize the height to the correct proportions. In this case the correct height was 30.35 inches. So when I setup the print sizes I end up with a print size of 2000 for the width and 3059 for the height. Using this method I have created a list of prints with all the correct width and height dimensions. You can name the print anything you want. I used this naming method just to keep everything organized and easy to understand.

Once you have your print sizes set up properly you will need to make sure that “Optimal placement” is selected in QImage. Click on the “Custom” button and select “Fit to page”. Make sure that “Crop image to obtain print size” and “Unlock-auto rotate for best spacing” is selected. The image below shows the correct settings. Once set correctly, click OK and start adding images to your queue. These print sizes were created using the Epson 9600 and should also work for the 7600
