Head Position Adjustment Test Prints Procedure

The following instructions are the procedures for printing the correct test prints needed to evaluate the print head alignment on the QD21 Digital printer. These test prints can then be sent to our service department for evaluation. Please follow the instructions carefully. If you print these tests incorrectly our evaluation and suggested corrections will be incorrect.

Load the largest size paper that you print with.  (12" 11" 10")

From the home screen go to: SETUP>MAINTENANCE>ADJUSTMENT>HEAD POSITION ADJUSTMENT

You should see the following screen

In the lower left corner of the screen press the "Test Print' Button. The following screen will appear

From this screen the following test prints need to be printed:

After these prints have been completed, put two 5" magazines on the printer. Or the largest paper you have in the small magazines. Press the button. This will return you to the Print head adjustment screen.

On the right side of the screen press the "2-lane setting" button    , return to the "test print" screen and print the following test:

When the test prints exit the machine mark them Lane A or Lane B. Send these tests along with a current Head Calibration test and Master Channel test to:
